Steam library value calculator

Paste your Steam profile to see what your library is worth at today's US Steam prices, how much of it you never played, and which games on sale you could add next, from the genres you play most. Your game details need to be public.

Questions about the library calculator

How do I find my Steam profile link?

Open your profile on steamcommunity.com and copy the address from the browser bar. It looks like steamcommunity.com/id/yourname or steamcommunity.com/profiles/ followed by 17 digits. The 17-digit Steam ID or your custom profile name on its own works too.

Why does it say my library is private or empty?

Steam only shares the games of a library that anyone can see. In Steam, go to Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set Game details to Public. Steam answers the same way for an account with no games, so we cannot tell the two apart. Then check again.

What does the value mean?

It adds up the current price of each game in your library on Steam's US store: what the library would cost at today's US Steam prices, and what it would cost at regular prices, before any sale. It is not what you paid, which may have been far less. Free games add nothing, and neither do games with no US Steam price (taken off sale, or not sold in the US). Amounts are shown in your currency, converted from US dollars, so they are approximate.

Does it count my whole library?

The number of games, the hours played and the share you never played cover your whole library. The value covers the 1,500 most played games, so a bigger library is worth a little more than shown, and the page says when that happens.

How are the suggested games chosen?

From our own deal lists: games on sale now that you do not own, in the two genres you spent the most hours in, the biggest discount first, each at the cheapest store we compare. If your most played games are outside the genres we list, you see the best-rated games on sale instead.

Do you keep my profile or my library?

No. Your profile is used to ask Steam for your public game list and the current prices, and nothing is stored or kept on our server, not even for a few minutes. Share this result gives a link that carries only three numbers and a currency, not your profile or your games.
